Obasanjo tasks doctors in healthcare delivery
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on physicians in public health care facilities to make “quick action” their watchwordErnest Nwokolo, Abeokuta in the way they go about healthcare delivery service to enhance success in life – saving job. Obasanjo also charged them to always maintain expensive medical equipments provided either by governments or donors, saying “Nigerians should first live in good health to enjoy the goodness of Nigeria.” The elder statesman spoke at the weekend during the inauguration of hospital equipment and consumables donated by USA based Project C.U.R.E to Federal Medical Centre(FMC) Idi-Aba Abeokuta, Ogun State. The donation was facilitated by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Obasanjo, who was represented by his wife, Chief (Mrs) Bola Obasanjo, said quick action of healthcare providers is crucial to saving (patient’s) life and urged them to always respond quickly to issues of people’s health and ensure that the equipment they work with were also routinely maintained.
