Start your adventure now and choose to stay with Dan and Kelsey in Ulverston!

First, you will arrive here as a stranger but when you leave we will be friends. This is because we are dedicated hosts who always take great care to make sure that our guests are comfortable and enjoying themselves.

We are a fun, easy going, couple - with no kids or pets - who have a zest for life and a passion for hosting people in our home.

Ulverston is a fantastic place nestled in South Cumbria - a short distance from the Lake District National Park. As a family, we love to go walking and exploring this beautiful region. The highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike, and the largest lake in England, Windermere, are both in this area. It is also the birthplace of comedy legend Stan Laurel and we have one of the world's only Laurel and Hardy Museums in town.

We offer English lessons, in the morning, which are tailored to your ability and goals. Then we take English Language into the real world and explore the dynamic county of Cumbria.

Homemade meals are always 100% vegan and eaten together around the kitchen table. This is another fantastic opportunity to practise, speaking and listening, in a natural environment. I encourage my students to constantly take note of new words and phrases so we can address them in the next lesson.

Typically, excursions involve exploring the local area and immersing ourselves in British culture and countryside. We do things, such as; hiking, visiting local landmarks, sightseeing, pub quiz, visit a Buddhist Meditation Centre and much more.

Guests will also have plenty of free time to explore on their own if they wish to do so. We can offer advice on local attractions and help you to plan your perfect day out. If you are looking for something specific, such as a cycling tour, just let us know and we can organise it.

Our guests have a private, comfortable, double bedroom, with en suite toilet and shower, as well as their own living room with a sofa, tv, fridge, kettle and, tea and coffee. We have a camp bed, which can be utilised, to accommodate more than one student or parents with their child.

Our philosophy is that you learn English best when you are fully immersed and having fun!

Please let me know if you would like to tailor an experience to suit your own needs and preferences . We are more than happy to do this for each of our guests - everyone is different after all.
