"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in You." Isaiah 26:3
So many of God's promises have to do with giving us peace. It is beautiful, isn't it?
Peace is one of the most desired gifts in a world at strife. Humans are constantly battling against each other, in competitions. We even fight battles within ourselves as our sinful nature is always at odds with our compassion with the holy spirit.
Through the gift of faith, and by His grace, we live as forgiven people of God. This is whatt gives us peace with Him and affords us a peace beyond human understanding. When we have peace with God, we can have peace within ourselves and then, a peace we can lend to those around us. Trusting in the power of faith gives us perspective in a fallen world that sees beyond these times and events and keeps our minds steadfast in the grace God has given to us.
The above promise is, thankfully, not based on us or our doing or will. God is the God of peace and here He promises to keep us in His peace! Trust in His promise, and be at peace, even in the midst of our battles, we have this peace that passes understanding.
