Even though I didn't really give you a specific answer to your question, more of an esoteric one, I really enjoyed the question and what my answer was.
I've been slowly working on this concept of bitcoin as enabling an authentic brotherhood of man. Not to get too new age, but there is a lot of support for the idea that, by virtue of the precession of the equinoxes, we move through astrological ages, and although it's not completely apparent exactly when one age ends and another begins, at some point in the last 40 years to potentially some time in the next 100 years, we could reasonably be said to be entering the age of Aquarius. Because it's precession, this means we're exiting the age of Pisces.
Aquarius is a sign that values deeply friendship, global and group consciousness, and also is deeply connected with technology as a vehicle for expression.
As I've ruminated on it more, I just feel it's the sign of daylight through storm clouds so to speak. There are multiple aspects to it. The fact that its instant, frictionless, immutable, etc. It enables a new kind of social stratosphere where the integrity of the individual is maintained as a component of the strength of the whole. It isn't about being anti-conformist, it's about being post-conformist. There's a major difference. We're not rebelling against the status quo, we're walking to places that the status quo is unable to access. We're exploring those areas, and relaying the information to each other and building an economy around that.
Our goal is not to smash the system which preceded us. But in the process of our developing a level of depth and complexity that was previously inaccessible, we need to understand that to do so and to not preserve a culture that celebrates the value of the individual is to proceed down a path whereby depth becomes confused with span. In other words, the strength and value of our own unique identities (an embrace of the paradox) becomes confused with value of certainty that can come built-in to a framework whereby the individualism becomes converted into a concrete set of parameters (not unlike the advertising profiles that have been built into our web identities) where our freedom of expression is foregone for the metric of cost-basis that uniform ideas can produce.
