I'd like to throw in support for a standardized wrapper protocol for tokens.
Up until this point, applications have had to "bet on a horse", so to speak, which has many disadvantages.
A standard token protocol has many downsides, but a standardized wrapper allows businesses and applications to build architecture around this standard without care for which token protocol "wins" in the end.
