Benzema ´played his 500th official match for Real Madrid against Barcelona. He is the fourteenth man (and the third non-Spaniard) to reaches this figure, after Raúl (741), Casillas (725), Sanchís (710), Santillana (645), Ramos (638), Hierro (601), Gento (600), Camacho (577), Pirri (561), Míchel (559), Guti (542), Roberto Carlos (527) and Marcelo (503).
The French striker has scored 240 goals for Los Blancos and is two shy of Ferenc Puskas as the fifth leading scorer in the club's history. He has nine goals and eight assists in the 33 official Clásicos he has played to date.
