Breaking: The U.S. men’s national soccer team has qualified for the World Cup, scheduled for later this year in Qatar.

The U.S. men completed the qualifying cycle by earning one of the Concacaf region’s three automatic berths to soccer’s global spectacle, which starts in November.

The Americans, who failed to reach the 2018 event in Russia, now await Friday’s draw to see who else will be placed in their four-team group. The field will be composed of 32 nations in total.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
