Probing matter–antimatter asymmetry with #AI Using a cutting-edge AI algorithm, the CMS Collaboration has obtained the first evidence of charge–parity (CP) violation in the decay of the strange beauty meson into a pair of muons and a pair of electrically charged kaons. We really need to stop using "AI" in situations where "ML" is appropriate. AI is more about the interface and this was a tagging algorithm. Tagging (like b-tagging) has been around for decades. The hype of GenAI gives a lot of incentive to call everything AI but in the end this is a disservice to both physics and AI research.

Idk…this really just smashes atoms?
