Probing matter–antimatter asymmetry with #AI Using a cutting-edge AI algorithm, the CMS Collaboration has obtained the first evidence of charge–parity (CP) violation in the decay of the strange beauty meson into a pair of muons and a pair of electrically charged kaons. Idk…this really just smashes atoms?
The asymmetrical annihilation favored to matter explains why the universe exists.
Physics in A levels has really sparked my interest about particle accelerators
great impressive stuff!-massive engineering, technology plus AI - what comes next - will the stnadard model hold??
Ironic that someday we will us Quantum computers with quantum AI to solve HE Physics predicted by Quantum Mechanics Theory.
Will AI find why this asymmetry exists? 😀😀😀
what a nice picture
I miss working on accelerators and detectors.

3wWe really need to stop using "AI" in situations where "ML" is appropriate. AI is more about the interface and this was a tagging algorithm. Tagging (like b-tagging) has been around for decades. The hype of GenAI gives a lot of incentive to call everything AI but in the end this is a disservice to both physics and AI research.
