Equestrian Centre and Business Development Manager Live In or Out

*Accommodation available on site* A new opportunity has arisen here at Penshaw Equestrian Centre to run our busy BHS Highly commended established riding school, livery yard & competition centre. We are currently looking to employ a self-employed OR employed Manager. The successful candidate will manage our team in the running of our busy riding school livery yard and competition centre & be an enthusiastic person who can be a positive role model for staff and who work individual or as a team. Full time position, between 3 & 5 days per week depending on the applicants preferences, but must include on weekend day per week. This is a Live in or Live out position. Membership Manager

Membership Manager 20 - 24 hours pw, Salary £30K – £40k FTE + bonus Join us in Building our Equestrian Community The Association of British Riding Schools+ is a registered charity, the UK’s only organisation that focuses solely on supporting and promoting the interests of professional proprietors of equestrian establishments. This is a very interesting period to join the ABRS+ as our membership is growing, there is increasing demand for our webinars and services plus our events are well attended. This organisational growth enables personal and professional development in the role. We are looking for a Membership Manager, based at our office near Horsham, West Sussex, four days a week, hybrid working available if/when possible. This is a key role for the ABRS+ contributing to the on-going development of the organisation. Responsibilities include leading a small team, and enjoying the interaction with Members to: • develop our membership base • organise the Annual Conference and AGM, training courses, meetings, and events • manage the services of the membership office and finances using Xero • represent the ABRS+ nationally and locally across the equine industry • prepare AGM & Board Agendas, circulating timely supporting papers, minutes if needed. The ABRS+ offers a wide variety of membership services which the successful candidate should enjoy the challenge of this variety. The role is supported by the Membership Support Officer and liaises closely with the Training and Projects Manager. To be successful candidates should have good leadership and organisational skills, IT literacy and Microsoft proficiency. Experience of marketing, sales, customer service and/or a professional equestrian background helpful. Whipper-In Position in Pennsylvania, USA

***This is for a job in Pennsylvania, USA*** Summary of Job Function: The Whipper-In's primary responsibility is to assist the Huntsman in training and hunting the hounds (Hunting days: August - March, 3 days a week). In addition, they assist with the care of horses and hounds and maintenance of the Hunt property and Hunt country (Year-round). This is a full time, salaried role with a 6-day work week, health and retirement benefits, annual bonus, and 2 weeks paid time off during the non-hunting season. Housing may be included as well on a case-by-case basis. Major Duties: • Assist huntsman with hunting, exercising, and training hounds both on foot and on horseback. • Help Groom in stables daily with care of horses, tack & equipment, transport of horses, cleaning stalls etc. • Work with Huntsman and Groom to exercise and train staff horses. • Participate in regular countryside maintenance (trail clearing, jump building). • Perform Hunt property maintenance including mowing, trimming, gardening, snow and ice removal, fence building and repair, painting, and cleaning/repairing/maintaining equipment and buildings. • Learn the "Hunt County" and Hound names in order to provide the best sport possible. • Ability to lift 100lbs and run short distances. Additional Job Requirements as Needed: • Transport hounds for vet and breeding. • Assist with Kids Hunt Camp, Cheshire Races, and other Hunt activities. • Fill in for Huntsman as needed, including hunting hounds. • Fill in for Groom on days off/ vacation.
