Hello! We’re the team behind Sea of Stars, a turn-based RPGs inspired by the classics from the SNES-era featuring turn-based combat with timed player input, a more freeform approach to traversal, and a tactile world with dynamic lighting. It’s also a prequel set in the same universe as our first game, The Messenger (2018)!
Sea of Stars was launched on Nintendo Switch and other platforms back in August 2023, and was recently released physically . It won the title of “Best Independent Game” at last year’s The Game Awards, among other accolades.
We currently have some exciting updates in the works: a 3-player couch co-op mode, a speedrun mode, some balancing updates, and even a full-fledged DLC!
It’s an honor for us to be here, we’d love to answer any questions you might have about the game. Plus, we’ll be giving out five Switch codes for Sea of Stars randomly to participants of this AMA!

For me it’s Mario strikers battle league because for $60 you BARELY get anything, there’s no extra modes besides the regular soccer matches, no story mode, only 10 tournament cups that last like 20 minutes per cup (and it’s the same thing as regular matches), barely any items, and overall just nothing to do. The only thing that’s worth mentioning about this game is the hyper strike animations and that’s about it.
Edit: Another game that’s overpriced that I don’t see a lot of people talking about is Big Brain Academy: Brain vs Brain which is $30 for 20 short mini games that you can complete in about 10-15 minutes and that’s it! There is costumes you can earn by playing the mini games but it takes so long to earn all of them and you just get board playing the same thing every time, no effort went into this game for even $30.
