Snitch Culture: How Citizens are Turned into the Eyes and Ears of the State Paperback – October 30, 2000

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 34 ratings

In this alarming expose, investigative journalist Jim Redden examines how snooping has become so much a part of American culture that it is practically a family value, encouraged on billboards, television, and even in classrooms. From employees hired to spy on their coworkers to doctors forced to disclose medical information, the U.S. has developed a chilling network for monitoring its citizens. Worst of all, the information gathered - and widely disseminated - is often unreliable, solicited from paid and anonymous informants. "No one is safe in the Snitch Culture. Jim Redden has written a scary, fascinating, and important examination of the pervasive use and abuse of informants and snitches in the United States." - Katherine Dunn, author of Geek Love

My saying is very simple. If you're not paranoid you are not living in the real world! There is a world out there that even people who rage about the system of things may not be aware about. If 1/24 people in any giving society is turned into a snitch, as Mr. Bush once suggested, then, the crop yields millions of people keeping a watch over their neighbors, Is it hard to do that? No! Domestic espionage has always been around, pace, Obama. The guard the coop so the wolves can eat the lion's share of the resources of the world; the spies only get the scrap.Children, wives, husbands, best friends, anyone and everywhere or anywhere. It is when 100s of books like this one are published that gang-stalking will be fully exposed and understood by the population in general. Meanwhile, citizens live your lives as best you can. That's what I do, anyway.

A wake up call for everybody. A very important facts and explanations exposed. The snitch culture is real. Shamefully, teachers in schools, without sense of professionalism are creating and are using snitches.
Mr. Redden explain very clear the difference between snitch and witness of a crime,or crime victim. Every single person, who believe in honesty, should read this book
