The KCA Kable (Kolossus Copper Aluminum) is the next generation of our Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) power and ground cables. The new KCA 8 Gauge uses 12.61mm^2 of Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) to transfer current from your battery to amplifier. Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) is made up of 90% Aluminum and 10% Copper. The KCA 8 Gauge Kable used throughout this kit offers incredible flexibility and a rugged PVC outer jacket that is impervious to grease and oil. The PVC outer jacket can withstand extreme temperatures (-40 to 105 C).

Beware of "1600 Watt" amp kits that include a 50 or 60A fuse. Its physically impossible for these kits to support this load (refer to our comparison photo)

How many watts can this amp kit handle? At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. Many amp manufactures do not represent the output of their product accurately in watts. Please refer to your amplifier's fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (two 20A fuses = 40A total draw) If this number is under 50A, this kit will fit your application. If over 50A, a larger gauge wire would be required or use our Kolossus 8 gauge amp installation kit.

I bought this kit to power a 60x4 RMS amp, Installed under my front seat. this kit was perfect for my power needs, and the only thing I had to purchase seperately to complete the install was extra speaker wire. The fuse holder is cheap but works well.The RCAs also seem cheap but got the job done, I liked the remote wire being bundled with them. The speaker wire was actually better than the scosche ones I had to get. Power and ground wire have a soft touch shielding which could have been thicker. Comes with a bag of various terminals,zip ties, grommet and screws for a clean install
Excellent item for 18 bucks plus shipping. If you have huge power requirements you might want the 4 gauge kit or opt for a brand with a bit thicker shielding if you're picky.

I was a little hesitant about ordering this kit at first, mainly because of the picture showing the wire in profile. However, I am glad to have purchased it. The outer jacket of the wire is more than thick enough for most tight, pinching areas. The wire is a true 8 gauge, meaning that you don't get a small conductor and a quarter inch of insulation. The kit comes with rca cables with an integrated amp power wire, zip ties, and a decent length of plastic tubing; this may not seem important to some, but to me it shows thought to a professional looking DIY install, and if you are a do-it-yourselfer the last thing you should want is an install that looks like you did do it yourself. The kit comes with a decent collection of terminals, though no kit will ever come with enough terminals for every install -had to get a few extra for my installation. But, the set in this kit should be enough for most typical installs. The only gripe I have for the kit, is that the ground wire is three feet long, while I know this is about standard, I personally would have liked a longer cable to offer more flexibility of where to run the ground. Overall, the kit is close to perfect, especially for the low cost. Do not waste your money on other kits, buy this one.

This is the best quality entry level/all in one kit I could find for my modest installation needs. The other reviews are correct in saying this is one of the only products at this price point with accurate wire gauge; many of the alternatives I found cheat by using tiny wire with extra insulation.

I've had this installed in my car for one year and everything is working great.

I had plenty of wire available for my install in my hatchback and have a decent amount left over.
The RCAs are basic but fine, no problems with noise or faulty connections, and as others have said the in-line remote wire is a nice touch.
The fuse and fuse holder are fine.

The wire itself is very easy to work with, but the multistrand core is a little tough to deal with once it's been stripped. Use good wire strippers set accordingly!

And finally - really the only bummer here was the supplied terminals and spade lugs. The power wire wouldn't quite fit in most of them, leaving strands of wire hanging outside the terminal (bad), and it was tough to get them to crimp well. After damaging a few I wound up buying some 8 AWG terminals at the hardware store for a few bucks instead and the quality difference was obvious right away. Much better fit too.

Still - really hard to argue with the price, and overall you're getting just about everything you need. If you're running a competition grade system, obviously this is not the package for you, but you probably already knew that! If you have modest power needs, this is perfect and definitely the best quality "budget" setup I've found.

A really great set of wires. Comes with almost everything you need to get your amplifier installed. The power wire is like its big brother the 1/0, it is very flexible while being very aesthetically pleasing. This is a great Kit. The only problem I had was the RCA wires have the remote turn on wire ran down them. I never like running any power wire on the same side is my RCA's. Which you can pull the wire out or just source another wire. Then run it with the power wire on the other side of the car. If you do decide to keep it in the RCA then it will be too short to reach the other side if your amplifier has the RCA's on the opposite side of power. Not a big deal at all either points. Still has 5 stars!

The kit is complete, and has everything you'd need for installing a subwoofer and amp. However, it's cheap. The power wire is actually 8 gauge (which most kits at this price are NOT the size they advertize), but it's aluminum core wire, so that's how they sell it at this price. The RCA cables work, but the connectors are a bit on the flimsy side - it does have a remote turn on wire embedded in the RCA cable, which is a nice touch. The included wire terminals are about average, but the spades intended for use on the power and ground cables are not big enough for the screws on my amp (which seem like a standard size to me, since they are the same on all the amps I have). The fuse seems pretty standard, and works.

The RCA cables were plenty long enough to reach from the head unit to the trunk space on my Subaru Forester. However, the power cable wasn't as long as would have been nice. Going from the battery, I had to run it straight down the middle of the car (under the center console and under the middle of the rear seats), instead of being long enough to route it around and tuck it nicely.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the purchase. I'm using it with a 150watt RMS amp/sub combo, so I didn't need anything special. When I was wiring up my last install with a 1000 watt amp/sub, I would NOT have used anything like this, as it wouldn't have handled the amp draw necessary to power it properly.

I wanted to wire up some various car audio stuff in my car, and when I looked around Amazon, this was the nicest kit I could find at the best price point, hands down! When it arrived, I popped open the blister pack and had a look at what's inside!
You get 18' of power wire, more than enough for most vehicles, so unless you're putting your equipment in the very back of your long box pickup or cargo van, you'll be good to go. Then you have 3' of ground wire, which again, should be plenty, since you basically ground to body on most vehicles, and the body is kind of, well...... everywhere! You will also receive a 17 foot RCA cable, 20 feet of speaker wire, remote wire, and an inline fuse holder with a 50A fuse. In the box as well, you'll find some ring and spade terminals for those of us who hate to twist and tape, some very short zip ties, a length of corrugated cable cover, and the thing that I like the best, 2 grommets for running your power cable through the firewall! This is something that most kits don't have, and they all should! There's nothing worse than getting your new bangin' stereo installed, and having the power cable cut from rubbing on the firewall of the car, especially since that can be dangerous as well.
All of the cables look to be extremely high quality, especially the power and RCA cables. I can't rave enough about how much I love love love this kit! I'll be recommending this to my friends whenever anyone is having a stereo installed for sure!
This kit gets 5 stars from me. I looked at many different sets before I grabbed this one, and I am extremely satisfied with the purchase.
