Currently, in Ecuador, the participation of photovoltaic energy is practically symbolic. In the province of Manabí, generation continues to be carried out through the intensive use of fossil fuel, which is expensive, inefficient, and polluting. This happens in a territory with optimal potential. Hence, the objective of the work is to demonstrate the feasibility of introducing a photovoltaic microgrid through the case study. Due to its simplicity and versatility, a methodology was applied to generalize experiences in other territories with similar geographical and climatic conditions. Field research was applied, and the method corresponds to the descriptive-deductive method, using a Geographic Information System (GIS) as a geographic information manager. The PVsyst 6.8.6 tool was used for the technical design of the installation, and the HOMER software was used for the economic feasibility analysis. The results demonstrate the relevance of introducing the photovoltaic microgrid in the distributed generation mode to increase the quality of service and the system's efficiency, reduce energy costs, promote the preservation of natural resources, and reduce CO2 emissions environment.

This article seeks to provide in a superficial way the structure of the Ecuadorian electricity sector in the administrative area. Biomass as an energy source will play a fundamental role in the coming years. The versatility of biomass-based generation systems makes them attractive projects at any scale. At the Technical University of Manabí, large quantities of organic and forest residues are generated, which can be used to generate energy. A survey was applied to determine the level of knowledge of the university community on issues related to the energy use of biomass and solid waste management. One of the barriers that are recognized based on the sustainable development of the territories is related to the lack of information. This research aims to design a Geographic Information System for information management of Renewable Energy Sources (FRE), which improve its quality, energy efficiency and enhance the diversification of generation sources in the province of Manabí, Ecuador. Following a documentary and applied research, the proposed system will be shown through a GeoWeb where it is intended to replace the manual way of updating information regarding FRE, conventional energy sources and renewable potentials by an automated system, with greater consistency and facilitating the handling and access to information quickly and safely; In addition to making viable the decision-making and the conception of strategies, with an integrating vision that allows to move from the current energy model that is based on fossil fuels to an energy-sustainable one.

The results obtained in the linking process are shown with society as one of the substantive activities, in the period 2021-2022 carried out by students of the Electrical Engineering career. The project encouraged students to train a group of people through practical methodologies to have minimum knowledge related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources. The qualitative and quantitative method was used, which allowed describing the results of the survey without altering their respective variables. This research aimed to analyze the incidence of digital adaptive learning programs in the academic results of the students of the seventh year of basic general education in the area of mathematics. RESUMENLa ordenación y la planificación territorial constituye un instrumento de transparencia, que puede ser utilizado como herramienta administrativa, brindando las posibilidades técnicas para la intervención en el territorio y donde los Sistema de Información Geográfica (SIG), permiten determinar los diferentes parámetros que en materia energética inciden en cada área, ayudando al mejoramiento de la eficiencia de su aprovechamiento y a la toma de decisiones adecuadas para la instalación de los sistemas próximos al consumo. Este enfoque no solo es válido para las fuentes renovables; sino también que pueden ser utilizadas para la implementación de las inversiones relacionadas con la explotación de los combustibles fósiles y la evaluación de sus impactos al medio, partiendo de los conceptos de que la producción de energía a nivel global es una de las actividades que más impactan al medio ambiente.Los SIG, son una herramienta que se pueden utilizar en los análisis de potenciales de las fuentes renovables de energía, pues se encuentran dispersas en el espacio y pueden ser proyectadas con una visión territorial distribuida; se pueden realizar los estudios de impactos económicos, sociales y ambientales asociados a su conexión a la red convencional de distribución.En la política de Ecuador se direccionan los procesos energéticos hacia el cambio de la matriz, esto no solo puede estudiarse con la hidráulica; sino que se pueden incorporar otras fuentes de energía según los valores del potencial disponible en cada territorio. El objetivo de la investigación en exponer las potencialidades de los SIG en la planeación territorial energética y su uso con una nueva visión consistente en la incorporación delos procesos energéticos enfocados en los nuevos conceptos tecnológicos como son: la inteligencia artificial, las microrredes, las redes inteligentes y la inteligencia artificial.Palabras clave: Gestión energética sostenible, desarrollo local, generación distribuida, fuentes renovables de energía, energía solar. The contamination of the water basins motivated by the bad handling in the treatment of the residual waters constitutes a present problem for the humanity. If wastewater is discharged directly into rivers, streams, lakes or seas before being properly treated, it is very likely that pollution elements will be introduced that will eventually cause significant ecological damage to the environment and public health diseases (caused by viruses and bacteria) in people and communities that come into contact with these contaminated waters. The work addresses a research that aims to demonstrate the potential of zeolite as a purifying element of wastewater from the Portoviejo river effluents, especially for the removal of ammonium and as a by-product to improve other physical-chemical parameters associated with the water quality, in accordance with the stipulations of Ecuadorian regulations.

The present research aims to pre-design an isolated system for a house that can serve as a pattern for the electrification of houses that today do not have power in the province of Manabí. The role that higher education can play in the interest of sustainability is an issue of international importance. The objective of the work is to create a space for reflection for the analysis of experiences related to the management of sustainability and the use of renewable energies. The deductive method was applied to address the problem from the general level, managing to interpret the actions that can be taken at the particular level. The work modality responds to a research report. The results reflect on the teaching and research experiences related to sustainability. The results of various research projects carried out within the framework of the degree work and the relationship with society, as substantive activities of the university, are presented. The p40phox protein, a regulatory component of the phagocyte NADPH oxidase, is preferentially expressed in cells of myeloid lineage. We investigated transcriptional regulation of thep40phox gene in HL-60 myeloid cells. Deletion analysis of approximately 6 kb of the 5′-flanking sequence of the gene demonstrated that the proximal 106 base pair of the promoter exhibited maximum reporter activity. This region contains 3 potential binding sites for PU.1, a myeloid-restricted member of theets family of transcription factors. Mutation or deletion of each PU.1 site decreased promoter activity, and the level of activity mediated by each site correlated with its binding avidity for PU.1, as determined by gel shift competition assays. Mutation of all 3 sites abolished promoter activity in myeloid cells.
