300 is the 2006 action packed epic based on Frank Miller's graphic Novel, directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen), and is now available on Amazon.com. Gerard Butler stars, in the role that made him a star, as the Spartan king Leonidas, on a crusade of 300 Spartan soldiers against an entire army of invading Persians. Each Spartan was bred and trained from childhood to be the ultimate warrior. Through incredible odds, the 300 brave stand alone and defeat wave after wave of soldiers, assassins, and monsters - all ready to die for their Persian God-King Xerxies. Leonidas and his men hold off the 100,000 strong army until he is betrayed by one of his own - an imperfection on a mission of revenge. This heavily stylized blood-filled story is based on the Greek battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C. Gerard Butler; Lena Headey; Dominic West; Rodrigo Santoro; Vincent Regan.

A blustery, bombastic, visually arresting account of the Battle of Thermopylae as channeled through the rabid imagination of graphic novelist Frank Miller.
