In solidarity with our healthcare superheroes, we heed their call for another round of strict quarantine measures and staying indoors. While this setup does take its toll on WFH helper-less moms such as myself (cue: random panic attacks), what matters most is that my family and I are home, healthy, and safe. As this day of endless bad news comes to a close, I’m thinking back to the last time I was able to host dinner for dear friends and clients; when our country wasn’t feeling the full effects of this pandemic yet; when ABS-CBN was still on-air and the terror bill wasn’t for final sign-off; when our world wasn’t in uproar on finally getting something done on systemic racism and eroding moral systems; when we were all still hopeful that life will get better.
