August’s first mousearmy pattern is called Teaselpod! It’s a swingy, flowing vest/bolero thing based on my earlier (and still ongoing) experiments with shawl structures that evolve into full garments. My favorite feature might be the uneven hem, which swoops low in back.
Quick to knit, comfortable to wear, and generally pretty satisfying, Teaselpod can be knit in three adult sizes in 2 skeins of Malabrigo Arroyo (or less). (It also looks pretty nice in handspun, although I have only knit one sample in my own yarn so far.) It’s designed to take you through late summer and early fall - a good layering piece for those crisp days when it’s not quite cool enough for a full sweater.
Teaselpod features alternative construction and seamless easy finishing. It is modern. It is classic. It is pretty soft! And the pattern’s available as I type! I hope you like it.
