Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor became parents to their blue-eyed daughter Raha Kapoor in 2022. Since then, the couple has been raving about their little bundle of joy. RK and Alia left their fans amazed when they introduced their daughter to the media in December 2023 when the star couple made their first public appearance with their adorable Raha Kapoor. Since then, the internet has wanted to know more about their little one. Recently, Alia sat down with her mom and actor Soni Razdan for The Nod. During the interaction, Alia was asked if there was anything she would parent differently now that she was a mother herself, in comparison to her own parents, Soni and Mahesh Bhatt.

Alia Bhatt Reveals She Left Home At The Age Of 23

Alia told her mom what she would like to do differently for Raha, in comparison to the parenting she's received from parents Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt. The Jigra star talked about how leaving home 'too soon' bothered her and why she would not allow Raha to follow suit. Before relocating to their Bandra apartment, Vastu, with her now-husband Ranbir Kapoor, Alia spent years living with her sister Shaheen Bhatt.

Alia shared, "I was barely 23 when I moved out of the house. I’d be away on long shooting schedules, and sometimes you wouldn’t even know which city I was in. Now when I look back, I’m like, wow, it was very cool of you to let me do that so early on because that actually helped me come into my own. Papa recently told me: 'If you don't let Raha fall down, it will be the biggest mistake you’ll make because she’ll never learn how to pick herself up'. So that was a defining point in my life and our relationship. But I do feel I left home too soon — and I won’t let that happen with Raha."

Alia Bhatt Would Like Raha Kapoor To Learn Art

She told mom Soni Razdan that she would like Raha to learn at least one art. She said, "The only thing that I’d do differently is to make sure Raha takes a liking to an art. That she learns at least one instrument, one dance form, and one sport, because these three skills will be very helpful for her in the long run. I know there is no right or wrong to this, but you left it up to me to decide what I like. I want to start Raha young, so she takes a liking to it. My only regret is not knowing how to play an instrument."
