Louis de Funès (full name Louis Germain David de Funès de Galarza) was a French actor and comedian. He played over 150 roles in film and over 100 on stage. His acting style is remembered for its high-energy performance and his wide range of facial expressions and tics. De Funès is one of the most famous French actors of all time and is well-known in several other European counties, despite being unknown in the English-speaking world. One of the films in which he starred, The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob was released in the USA and earned a Golden Globe Award nomination. [1]

Il épouse Germaine Louise Elodie Carroyer le 27 avril 1936 à Saint-Étienne (Loire). Le mariage est dissous par jugement de divorce rendu le 13 novembre 1942 par le Tribunal Civil de la Seine, transcrit le 23 mars 1943[2].

Il épouse Jeanne Augustine Barthélemy le 20 avril 1943 à Paris (9ème arrondissement)[2].

Louis de Funès est mort le 27 janvier 1983 à Nantes[2].
