Your Path to CALS

Did you know there’s more than one way to get into CALS? Initiatives like STEAM, ASPIRE, Community College Partnership Program and the Agricultural Institute (AGI) offer potential paths to agriculture and life sciences education at NC State.

There’s a new educational garden on NC State’s campus, thanks to the vision of horticultural science graduate student Jasmine Gibson. 🌱 The BAE People Engineering a Regenerative (PEER) Garden, located outside of @ncstate_bae’s Weaver Laboratories, features pollinator and vegetable gardens, walking paths and relaxing spaces.

“Now we have a garden people can stroll through, sit in and enjoy while viewing the pollinators and other plants,” Gibson says. “The design I sketched on paper is a reality. So much effort went into this, and I’m excited to see how the garden progresses.”
