Not that 475 feet isn't a lot, but honestly I was quite suprised by how small this ball of twine is. I did not measure it, but I have no reason to doubt that it is actually right around 475 feet so I have no real complaint there. I was sceptical buying this product because there were no reviews speaking to its outdoor qualities. Thus far it has exceeded my expectations for holding up some fairly heavy climbing rose stems. I say heavy because we are about 6 month later than we should have been tieing up the stems so they have grown long and have large rose bundles on them. This 10-ply string appears to hold true and after a couple months has not failed on any of the stems we have tied up.
