Introduction
Vietnam is an interesting place to visit, and travelling independently here is very easy. There are bus, train and internal flights to most places daily, and you can get from one end of the country in two hours or two months, depending on how much you want to see along the way. Most travellers reckon that it gets more interesting as you travel from south to north, but I have done it the other way and it was just as interesting. There is an incredible variety of climates, vegetation and history across this long, skinny country, but I would recommend a minimum of two weeks to explore its highlights and perhaps include a few days in Siem Reap Cambodia to explore Angkor Wat while you are in this part of the world.

Top Things to See and Do
Halong Bay, Cu Chi Tunnels, DMZ, Hoi An, Hue, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vungtau city, Mui Ne beaches, Nha Trang beaches and islands, Phu Quoc Island, Con Dao Island, Cao Dai temples, Dalat mountain climbing or chilling out, Nam Cat Tien National Park for hiking & wildlife, Mekong Delta tours.

Neighboring countries: Cambodia, Laos, China. If flying internationally, connections go through Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.

I look forward to meeting you! I am Envcommunluv (Rosalia) and will be in Viet Nam mid January 2007. I prefer to visit rural areas and see much nature. Also, I'm very interested in visiting Buddhist sites. I would love and greatly appreciate the opportunity to stay with locals during my travels. Hope to have the opportunity to meet some fellow hospitality club members. Bless! alyagon Israel Giora Alyagon and wife, From Israel on April 2007.
