Village Loops have the flexibility for deviations and flag stops along the BATA bus route.  This means that riders can call BATA at (231) 941-2324 to schedule a pickup or drop off up to ¾ of a mile off the normal route path. Plus, riders can simply wave the bus down along the route and board the bus or ask the driver to stop anywhere along the loop transportation route to depart the bus.

Route 10 - Suttons Bay

Riders to Empire, Leland, Lake Leelanau, Omena, and Northport should request a ride using BATA Link.  

 

 

  

 

Route 11 - Traverse City to Glen Arbor (June-Sept only)

Traverse City's Hall Street Transfer Station to Glen Arbor.  This bus will fit three(3) bikes and connects Traverse City with the Glen Arbor bus shelter on Oak Street, plus has a Sleeping Bear Dunes stop location at Glen Haven Beach near the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.  Bring your bike and your beach stuff for the day.  End your experience with dinner or ice cream in Glen Arbor and take the late bus home!

Route 13 - Traverse City to Kingsley

Riders to Fife Lake should request a ride using BATA Link.  

Service Alert:  The Liv Arbor stop and the BATA Cass Road Transfer Station stop will be permanently closed beginning June 10th.

Indian Trails travels directly between BATA's Hall Street Station in Traverse City to Kingsley seven days a week, departing TC at 10:40am and arriving Kingsley Laundromat at 11:10am.  Visit Indian Trails' updated schedule here.

Route 14 - Traverse City to Cherry Capital Airport and Acme

* Beginning Monday, March 11th, Route 14 will be fare-free for all riders until the construction on E. Front Street is completed in June.  The MDOT carpool lot and bus shelter at Acme's Meijer is now in service.  There will be a slight detour in the route pattern where construction is being done between downtown and Garfield.  There will be temporary stops at the Hagerty Center, Barlow & State, and the Civic Center/Titus.

 

Service Alert:  E. Front St traffic is currently detoured to accomodate MDOT construction.  See www.bata.net/2024 for updates and details.

 

* The eastbound stop at Hagerty Center will stay as the Barlow eastbound stop until further notice.  The stop at Garfield Rd eastbound is now open for Bayline riders and Route 14 riders may flag it down here.  The westbound detour will remain the same (Dennos, Civic Center/Titus, State/Gilbert, State/Barlow) until further notice.

 

*The temporary Peninsula Drive stop near Garfield traveling eastbound is now closed permanently.  The Bayline stop on east of Garfield in front of Starbucks is now in service and Route 14 riders may flag a bus here.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NEW! BATA WEST FLEX will have hourly service, 8am-2:30pm Monday-Friday between Hall Street, West Front Street, Munson Hospital, Oleson's West, Brookside Commons, YMCA, and Meijer - with deviation possibilities between 8am and 2pm along Medical Campus Drive, W. Royal Drive, Long Lake Rd, and Silver Lake Rd.
