Today we’re taking a little trip back to 2013 ⏪ This was the year we introduced a refreshed Optus brand to the world, and a little guy came into our lives and changed them for the better. Brand New described this work as ‘simply too much fun’ when they awarded it best identity of 2013 🥹 This was also the year we worked on a new brand for Melbourne Recital Centre and pitched on the identity for LA’s bid for the 2024 Olympics. Sadly, we didn’t win the pitch and LA didn’t win the Olympics that year. Are those two points related?? We will never know… A big hello to friends of rebrands past who signed on in 2013. Today’s ✨flashback✨ is a big one. 2012 was the year Re really kicked into gear, hiring a roll call of some of the design industry (and the world’s) nicest and most talented people, and working on projects such as the launch of CAN for Commonwealth Bank, the Shanghai Biennale and a business card that won a Cannes Lion. 2024 is Re’s 15-year anniversary. 🎉🎉 That’s 15 years of friends, projects, laughs, lunches, office moves, high production value farewell videos, chaos, and brand and experience design. We had the big idea to celebrate with a countdown of our work across every year. Because ambitious and potentially unachievable internal projects are absolutely CORE to who we are. So hang on to your hats because this is happening, kicking off with 2009 when Re launched brands for ANZ and Abu Dhabi while (we can only assume) bopping along to future client Guy Sebastian’s noughties hit “Like It Like That”.
