I've been having decent luck with electrical tape usually, but gotten a few warped cardboard (and poorly wound) spools and decided I needed to bite the bullet a do a respooler.

For those that have tried both, what's the current consensus on the v-spooler vs pastamatic? The v-spooler needs a ton of inserts and doesn't seem as mature, is it worth the extra work? Fwiw I'd be mounting the pastamatic to a board, which I read helps
