We spoke to Art & Design students from City of Bristol College about our career journeys and how we arrived at Halo; we wanted to offer multiple perspectives because there’s no linear route into Agency life, and we know how daunting it is trying to figure out what to do after education and whether things are going to work out (hint: they will). It was important to highlight the good, the bad, and the ugly experiences we’ve faced along the way because there’s nothing better than transparency - life isn’t always school ➡️ uni ➡️ dream job. Redundancy can happen at any age, career breaks are fine, not everyone goes to uni. We had a member from different teams speak; Stephanie Burnham from Client Partners, Natalie Inker from Ops, Nina Edmonds from Finance & HR, Paulius Talalis from Dev, and Bryony Greenwood from People and Studio. Not everyone will become designers, but everyone can be creative. We shared hints and tips like: 🎓 Stick to your values, don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. 🎓 It’s a small world so don’t burn your bridges. 🎓 You’ll learn a lot during the first year of employment. 🎓 Work to live - respect your own boundaries. #louderthanlove #careeradvice #youngcreatives #tomorrowstalent
