Education and mind in the Knowledge Age by Carl Bereiter Carl Bereiter is a professor in the Department of Human Development and Applied Psychology, a co-director of the Education Commons at OISE/UT and a Principal Investigator on the CSILE/Knowledge Building Project. He is a member of the National Academy of Education and twice a fellow of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences. His books include The Psychology of Written Composition (1987, with Marlene Scardamalia), and Surpassing Ourselves: An inquiry into the nature and implications of expertise.
