Forests cover almost a third of the planet's land and are vital to virtually every facet of life on our planet.  They are our best shield against pollution, absorbing billions of tonnes of CO2 every year. Deforestation accounts for 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions. As global temperatures rise, forests are becoming increasingly susceptible to drought, fire, pests and disease. The disappearance of our forests is exacerbating the greenhouse effect responsible for climate change. #GenerationRestoration #WorldEnvironmentDay
