Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is reportedly facing legal issues over the title of her book from 2021, called Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible. Her book, which talks about her experiences during pregnancy and offers advice for expectant mothers, may have caused a stir due to its title.
According to NDTV, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has sent Kareena Kapoor Khan a notice regarding a petition questioning the use of the word "bible" in the title of her pregnancy memoir. The petition, filed by advocate Christopher Anthony, raises concerns about the use of the word "bible" and seeks legal action against Kareena Kapoor Khan and the book's sellers.
The court has asked Kareena Kapoor Khan to explain why the term "bible" was chosen for the title, and notices have been sent to the book's sellers after Mr Anthony requested a ban on the book's sale.
Christopher Anthony, a social worker from Jabalpur, argued in his petition that the title Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible is disrespectful to the Christian community as it compares Kareena's pregnancy experience to the sacred Christian text. He also alleged that using the word "bible" was a publicity stunt by the actress.
On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan was recently seen in the movie Crew, which received praise from both fans and critics. She expressed her happiness about a women-centric film breaking box office records. Kareena will next appear in Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated film Singham Again alongside Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff, set to release on August 15, 2024.
