This article by Treiber et al. was published in Aging Cell. 2011; 10(2):239–54. It describes the characterization of an accelerated aging phenotype in mice, a mouse model with conditional deficiency for mitochondrial superoxide dismutase in the connective tissue. It should have been noted that Lore Florin and Peter Angel also contributed to this manuscript by providing the Col alpha2 Cre transgenic mouse model and assisting in the interpretation of the mouse phenotype. Both contributors should have been included as co-authors in this study.
