The counter-struck coins are illustrated below with full details and pictures. The reverses of the coins are shown faded to understand the over-type more clearly. Some coins are counter-struck twice or even thrice, showing two obverses and two reverses. Type 227 has counter-struck ten different coins including type 225; on the other hand type 225 has counter-struck 31 different types indicating that it was a significant issue. 225 CHAPTER V COUNTER-STRUCK PUNCH-MARKED SEQUENCE The illustrations are given in pairs showing the over-type first and the under-type below. When the coins are counter-struck twice, then the illustration shows three rows in the sequence of counterstriking. Sometimes the under-type is faintly visible. It is described as "Counter-Struck on Uncertain Type". If one particular type counter-strikes many coins, the illustration is shown in the following fashion. The over-type is illustrated and marks are shown in the first row, and then all the under-types are listed with illustrations showing faded obverses to show the reverses clearly. The number above is the type that counter-struck the type under it. See the picture below where type no 227 is seen as counter-striking 225. The diagram is designed in such a way that always a higher number counter-strikes the smaller one.
