Who else had been waiting for the new iPad Pro to come out? Who else hadn't upgraded their iPad since 2018? Well that was me. Was waiting for this M4 iPad to release since the rumors came out and I was first in line to tell Apple to shut up and take my money.
With any new iPad Pro, the Magic Keyboard is almost a must have accessory, in order to fully get the most out of your new iPad. Do I love the price tag? Of course not, but it's what people call the "Apple Tax". But once you get the Magic Keyboard in hand, you realize what a special piece of hardware it is. The trackpad is much larger than the previous iteration, making it more akin to the MacBook Pro. The addition of the new function row is much needed as well. The aluminum build gives it a more premium feel and again, more akin to working on a MacBook. And the case gives your iPad much needed protection when carrying it to and from wherever you are going.
So why only 4 Stars? There is a bit of a design issue where the hinge of the Magic Keyboard doesn't really sit flush on a table when opened up fully, and since the iPad is a touch screen, when you go touch the screen, the iPad wobbles a bit. It's not a total fail, but it can be a little annoying at times. Knock off 1 star because of this potential design flaw.
All in all, if you spent the 1K plus to get an iPad Pro, this $350 dollar accessory is almost a must if you want to unlock the full power of this beautiful hardware.
