The new web-based analytics platform provides instant access to the U.S. News archived rankings and data on more than 3,000 hospitals in the United States.
Unlike the Best Hospitals rankings, which are designed to help consumers seeking a high level of care, U.S. News Hospital Data Insights was developed specifically for administrators. The new interactive dashboard allows hospital executives to view proprietary rankings and data at a strategic level – over many years and in relation to their peers. The platform contains data spanning over 15 years of the Best Hospitals rankings and provides administrators access to more than 10 million data points, many of which have never been publicly available. U.S. News editors unveiled a test version of the proposed directory before a group of top regional academic officials at the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) in Doha today. The Arab Region University Directory, which will launch on <a href="http://www.usnews.com>usnews.com</a> later in November, brings together publicly available data on a wide array of MENA universities from all Arab countries. A fully web-enabled, searchable product will debut in early 2014.
Dan Wilmer Joins U.S. News & World Report as Vice President and General Manager of Health Care Products

The release of the 2014 Best Colleges rankings drove a record audience to U.S. News Education. While most of the traffic came from within the United States, U.S. News saw double-digit audience gains internationally.

Breaking a tie with Harvard University, Princeton University claims sole possession of the No. 1 spot in the Best National Universities category. Williams College once again tops the Best National Liberal Arts Colleges category.
This year, U.S. News made changes to the Best Colleges ranking methodology to reflect the current state of college admissions and place more emphasis on student outcomes. High school rank – a factor that fewer high school students have on their transcripts – is used less in admissions decisions than in years past and therefore received considerably less weight.

Out of the 218 luxury hotels across Canada evaluated for the 2013 rankings, 22 properties scored high enough to earn a place on the list of the Best Hotels in Canada. The top five are:

2. Rosewood Hotel Georgia; Vancouver
3. Ritz-Carlton, Montreal; Montreal
4. Hastings House Country House Hotel; Salt Spring Island, British Columbia
