Commissioner Gordon (CG) loves Robert Falcon Scott and does not like Ernest Shackleton. CG was banned on the German Wikipedia over his edits to the Scott article and talk page, and then was indef blocked here for much the same. CG likes to cite Cherry-Garrard who wrote a book praising Scott (and shares the initials CG with him) - see here on Scott talk archive 3. Sallysods also cites Cherry-Garrard see edit summary and in 5 edits has removed comparisons between Scott and Shackleton from the articles on Shackleton [1], [2], [3] and the Nimrod Expedition. Plus he has commented on the Nimrod talk and my talk. It has to be the same person. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:54, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what you're on about, but I know that the edits you reverted without any kind of argumentation (!!!) - which is pure vandalism - simply removed utterly POV-prone phrases that severely breached WP:sources like here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nimrod_Expedition&diff=next&oldid=571727293 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ernest_Shackleton&diff=571727421&oldid=571725364... So, instead of developing weakly reasoned socket-puppetry conspiracy theories you should better face the acts of vandalism you have committed.--Sallysods (talk) 03:29, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Commissioner Gordon / Commissioner Gregor is back as a string of IP's that geolocate to Germany. After collecting the diffs below, I realized he actually outs himself: [4].

No technical tools needed, just blocks of the IP's and for his edits to be reverted instead of engaging him. --Amble (talk) 21:47, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Mark. --Amble (talk) 22:06, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Two of the listed IPs are stale, but I've blocked the most recently used one. Closing. Mark Arsten (talk) 22:03, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously Commissioner Gordon. Immediately returns to previous argumentation at Talk:Robert Falcon Scott [23], hinting to User:Brianboulton regarding previous conversation [24] (cf. [25]) and presumably referring to long-standing grudge with User:Ruhrfisch. Explicit rehashing of grudge with Ruhrfisch here [26]. (I think it's something carried over from German Wikipedia?) No CU required (and CU not possible since it's an IP). Amble (talk) 23:13, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Familiar edits promoting Robert F. Scott and odd obsession with User:Ruhrfisch, who usually is not even involved: [27], [28] (see also edit summaries). Amble (talk) 16:57, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Most recently:

The user in question is one of the usual suspects who has managed to get banned on both the English and German Wikipedia for not following the rules. His specialty are articles related to Antartic expeditions, especially Robert Falcon Scott, whose reputation he feels he must restore. After he failed with POV edits all over the place and got banned, he proceeded to insults and extensive socketpuppetry. Nowadays he tries different IP edits, this one being an example for it. One typical pattern is that he alleges that all the users who do not share his views are all the same "evil" person. I also reported this incident here as I did not know which internal mechanism of the English Wikipedia suits this case best. Hansbaer (talk) 19:12, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Probably block evasion. But, the IP has been inactive for 12 days, so I'm closing this case with no action needed. If he activates again, reopen the case. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:12, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
