Gary Barlow's new BBC One talent show Let It Shine will go head to head with The Voice UK on ITV on Saturday nights.
The Voice UK had aired on BBC One for the past five years but was poached by ITV in a new three-year-deal in November of last year.
Now the BBC has a new singing TV talent show lined up to replace it, Let It Shine.
Fronted by Gary Barlow, the series is similar to previous musical based shows starring Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Let It Shine will follow the hunt for singers to perform in a new stage musical based on the songs of Gary's band Take That.
The BBC have already teased an array of judges and guest stars including former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue as well as Olly Murs. Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc will present the series.
Meanwhile ITV have confirmed Will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale for their first ever coaching line up on The Voice UK, with Emma Willis as host.
Both shows kick off on Saturday, January 7 and Gary's Let It Shine has the slight advantage.
His show starts earlier at 7PM and runs to 8:25PM, while The Voice UK begins at 8PM and runs until 9:35PM.
According to The Sun newspaper, the BBC is keen to "hit back" at ITV after losing The Voice.
An ITV insider alleged to the tabloid: “The BBC is very sore about losing The Voice and wants to hit back."
The Voice's blind auditions always did the business for BBC One, with up to 12 million viewers at some points.
But Andrew Lloyd Webber's past musical shows have also proved to be hits with people at home, so it'll be interesting to see who comes out on top.
It may turn out with yet another two singing shows straight after X Factor, neither will impress much...
