Is energy the gateway into the AI trade?

With the AI boom propelling markets, investors might seek alternative avenues to capitalize on this emerging trend. CNIC Funds CEO Tim Kramer joins Wealth! to explore why the energy sector could present an enticing entry point into the AI trade. Kramer emphasizes that electricity "is the most consumed commodity in the US." He draws a parallel between the AI trade and the gold rush, suggesting that while gold was initially the hot commodity, attention soon shifted toward the companies or individuals that supplied the gold rush and trade—a similar pattern he anticipates with AI and electricity. "Given that backdrop on how much more electricity this is going to take, we think that we're in a very interesting position to give people an opportunity to get exposure to that piece of the sector, which is the increase in electricity consumption," Kramer tells Yahoo Finance. Why ETFs are a great way to get into crypto: Strategist

Ethereum (ETH-USD) is surging following speculation that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve ether ETFs. VettaFi Investment Strategist Cinthia Murphy joins Wealth! to discuss cryptocurrency ETFs and what the latest news could signal for the sector. Bitcoin spot ETFs were approved earlier this year, which Murphy says have seen "robust demand." The success has fueled interest in other crypto ETFs: "It took about ten years for regulators to be OK with spot bitcoin ETFs. And now, five months in, we're talking about spot ether ETFs," the strategist adds. She says that those looking to get into cryptocurrency should invest in spot ETFs and also points to gold ETFs as a "phenomenal" opportunity to diversify portfolios. Buying into '100% downside protection' ETFs

With inflation holding steady throughout the economy, finding the right investment to beat inflation can be difficult. Many turn to ETFs as a strong investment but still may see volatility. Calamos Investments Head of ETFs Matt Kaufman joins Wealth! to discuss how Calamos can help hedge against inflation with "100% downside protection" in its ETF offering. Kaufman explains how Calamos secures this protection feature: "We're going to sell off some of your upside exposure in order to pay for that protection. And so we're selling off some of your upside opportunity to the tune of--get the upside to 9-10% and then you get the downside protection all in a single package, it all expires on the same day. And that's all inside an ETF that will never expire. The ETF will stay open. You can just stay in the product. So every year you're going to get a new outcome period that you can invest in.
