Hey gang I wanna apologize.

Hey gang I wanna apologize.

Earlier today I made a post that I initially thought was funny. It was making a play on words of Brennan’s “Let me be clear,” and it substituted the word clear for queer.

I myself am genderqueer and found it funny and thought of it in the context of Brennan saying it, then turning to the camera, winking, and saying “Happy Pride gang.”

On top of that, someone commented and pointed out the fact that since Brennan isn’t queer, it would probably be in poor taste and I responded poorly. I’ve had a pretty awful day today and I accused them of blowing it out of proportion when I was the only responding to them disproportionately. That by no means is an excuse though, and they initially responded in a way that wasn’t even that bad and I was a dick.

I don’t know if you’ll see this since you (rightfully) blocked me, (removed), but I am genuinely sorry to you and anyone else in the LGBTQ community who I might’ve made uncomfortable. I feel awful, and even though I’ve deleted the post, I need to take accountability for my actions online.

Sorry for missing the mark by a wide margin here folks. I’ll reflect and find ways to manage my own stress better so I don’t take it out on someone undeserving again.

Love you guys and I love this community.

Edit: Removed the name of the person as some people are criticizing them in the replies and that’s not even remotely the point. Thank you to everyone who is being kind to me, but understand that even if you don’t like what they said, I was certainly the one who escalated first and it’s likely this conversation would not have happened had I not made a poor decision. I’m not trying to beat myself up. I think we should all point to examples of missing the mark and learn how we can improve and that applies to the things we personally say as well.

Ratfish is a full circle moment for viewers over 30
false

Many of us older viewers grew up watching Adult Swim, revelling in the absurdity of its comedy, the creativity of its genre mashups and pastiche, and feeling at home in a little pocket of media weirdness.

Almost 20 years later, Sam Reich has created a corner of media with that same sense of community. Dropout is clearly influenced by that beautiful chaos and absurdity pioneered by AS. But where AS had an undercurrent that was dark and unsettling, Dropout is tempered with a wholesome ethos of earnest friendship. It’s a comfy comedy pillow for geriatric millennials to rest their weary heads.

The appearance of our number one handsome boy Eric Wareheimer is the perfect homage to our collective comedy sensibilities and how they’ve changed over the years.

Rats off to ya. ❤️

u/gableism provided this in the comments on another thread and I wanted to make it a full post for people:

"Everyone keeps saying this but Katie’s billboard was not on either street Sam says the two billboards will be on lmao"

I was gonna do the work, but gableism already did.

So the fact that Katie has a billboard is no more or less relevant than anything else. It's even possible that Katie's billboard inspired the prize for Ratfish. But there are going to be two billboards, neither of which are on Katie's board's street.

Netflix, why won’t you let my dog watch TV?

Netflix, why won’t you let my dog watch TV?

Even though play next episode is toggled on, after 5 or so episodes of a show on the kids profile it will stop playing and ask if we wanna continue watching. The problem is that nobody is home to select “continue watching” so the TV turns off.

When I leave my dog home he likes to watch his cartoons but the episodes are short and it will stop after 2 hours or so.

Is there a workaround around this? Why can’t my dog enjoy more than a few episodes of Peppa Pig on the weekend when I’m out running errands?

Netflix, FIX THIS!

Youtube experience is degrading

I used to love youtube but since a year it's getting worse and worse. I'm not talking about content but about UI/experience:

  • Commenting bots with clickbait profile image and link to porn/OF websites. Why is it so difficult to ban ?

  • Mobile interface for shorts is incredibly bad and different than the other videos. Where are the UX experts ?

  • Mobile app not playing the video but waiting indefinitely until I restart youtube. This now happens to me every day.

Howdy all, I just thought I'd post here for lack of a better place to post.

Every time I like something I see no like icon but if I haven't liked it I see no issue, so my question is have any of you experienced this issue or is it just my browser?
