Alumna inspires students with insights into digital marketing
Bridie Tennant (Management with Marketing, 2020) recently returned to the Business School to share insights from her digital marketing career journey for our ‘Lunch with Alumni’ event series.
The event provided a platform for students to engage with a member of the Leeds University Business School alumni community, offering them the opportunity to learn from their experiences, expand their professional network and ask questions.
Currently working as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Lowell, Bridie Tennant shared her career journey and showcased insights into the dynamic world of digital marketing. Bridie’s knowledge of the industry and practical advice offered a valuable perspective on navigating the digital marketing industry after graduation. Her journey from university to a flourishing career in digital marketing was a great inspiration for our students and many questions from the audience focused on tips and advice for a career in digital marketing, along with current trends in the industry.
Reflecting on the event, Bridie expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to connect with the Business School community and inspire our students “I found sessions such as these invaluable when I was studying at Leeds Universty Business School, which is why I was so keen to get involved. It was great to see the interest and enthusiasm for digital marketing, and it was incredible to receive so many insightful and challenging questions about the industry. One of the pieces of advice I shared, was to go into any interview scenario with an understanding of the current trends and issues impacting the marketing environment. It’s clear that many of these students are already eager to make their mark in the industry, and I have no doubt that they’ll be successful in doing so”.
