Jenna Bush Hager Reacts To Gross Kitchen Hack Video On ‘Today With Hoda & Jenna’: “Ew, Y’all This Is Not Appropriate For Morning Television”

Jenna Bush Hager has been open on Today With Hoda & Jenna about her contempt for the kitchen hack segment she and Hoda Kotb regularly do on the show. But during Friday’s broadcast, one hack in particular made Bush Hager straight up walk away from the set in disgust.

“We’re back now with Hoda’s very favorite segment, it’s when we try out some viral hacks… they don’t usually work,” Bush Hager said as she introduced the segment.

“They usually do!” Kotb said in protest.

Bush Hager was still skeptical as they tried different kitchen hacks, including one that was meant to make it easier to pour milk out of a pitcher. Her skepticism caused Kotb to urge her to “play along” for the segment.

The next kitchen hack, however, proved to be too unbelievable even for Bush Hager. They showed a clip of how to perform it, which showed someone using a wooden skewer to peel a sausage.

The visual seemed to gross the Today host out. “Ew! No, y’all, this is inappropriate for morning television,” she declared as she covered her eyes and walked away from Kotb.

Kotb, on the other hand, was intent on getting the kitchen hack right. “Wait, show it again, show it again!” Kotb said. “Yes!” She then called her co-host back to the table so they could try it out.

“Well, I’m sorry but…,” she said as she joined Kotb. She did not hide her disgust as she watched Kotb try to open the sausage using a skewer, which caused some of it to ooze out of the casing. “Ew,” she said as she pretended to gag. “Oh my god, it’s coming out.”

Intent on disproving the kitchen hack, Bush Hager asked the Today crew to give her a scissor to open the sausage, instead, as Kotb continued struggling with the kitchen hack.

“So she’s still working,” Bush Hager announced as she returned with a pair of scissors. “I’ve just gone to the kitchen and picked up some scissors and I just cut it… Although, I will say getting into a packet of sausage is not easy.”

The scissors did not make the ordeal any easier. “Ew it’s really… sausage-y,” she complained. She then turned to Kotb who appeared to get it “working,” but seeing the sausage ooze out of the packaging still made her gag.

“That was not a hack. That was wack, right?” she asked Kotb, who appeared to agree.
