Silas and the Travelers. This whole storyline feels like a filler lol. Nothing is worth saving. I was disappointed with Stefan getting a doppelgänger out of the blue while there was absolutely no build up leading to this in the early seasons and how Silas didn’t even feel like a villain. I still like him because he was funny, but the guy only wanted to die so it felt flat compared to the build-up in S4 and the more compelling villains like Damon in S1 and Katherine and Klaus in S2-3.

The worst were definitely the Travellers, it’s weird how the writers didn’t do anything to make them actually look sympathetic to some extent. I have absolutely no empathy for any of them. When Marcos said they were desperate for a home and Damon joked about how he just described homeless people, aging hipsters and Matt Donovan I was just laughing lol.

Stefan having a doppelganger is one of the things i just can't consider cannon no matter how hard I try lol.

Caroline dries was the one who manged season 5 and not plec and from most of her interviews she doesn't know how to write that's why season 5 villains were the least compelling from all seasons all she cared was some stupid jokes (while some of them were funny like liv begging Damon and Elena to kill her so she won't hear them argue , and some of them were awful like the pinky swear joke was cringe ) and delena drama

The concept of Silas and Amara made sense because there had to be some reason that witches are so naturally loyal to Stefan and Petrova doppelgangers.

And there had to be some reason that Stefan somehow met both Katherine and Elena and when they looked exactly the same age.

And there had to be some reason that Elena still wanted to be with Stefan after TVD 1.06 and throughout the rest of TVD S1-S3.

The existence of Travelers is fine. We had already seen Klaus be able to put himself in other bodies by using witchcraft.

The doppelganger blood being special is fine. Tatia's blood created The Originals. Elena's blood broke Klaus's Curse and can keep hybrids alive.

The doppelganger spell itself was pushed too far in terms of it being why Katherine/Stefan and Elena/Stefan happened. It would just seem natural that the doppelgangers of Silas and Amara would naturally be attracted to each other.

The whole doppelganger spell thing was used to try to cause conflict in Elena/Damon, but it never went anywhere because Stefan has been OOC (out of character) post-TVD 4.04. Stefan in TVD S5 is somehow a fervent Elena/Damon 'shipper and repeatedly convinces them to stay together.

I've already asked you nicely to please not reply to me anymore. I know that according to you, post S3 TVD isn't canon and everything you're not okay with is OOC and your headcanons trump canon.
