A USEUCOM delegation participated in the Dec. 10 transfer ceremony of four UH-1H (Huey II) helicopters to the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina. This achievement is a direct result of USEUCOM's partnership with the State Department and the AFBiH through the European Recapitalization Incentive Program. Since 2018, EUCOM, DOS and BIH have all worked in tandem to bring this vital interoperable capability to the AFBiH.

EUCOM Deputy Director for Partnering, Security Cooperation, and Space Capabilities U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Edward Vaughan led the exchange from EUCOM and had the opportunity to ride aboard one of the new helicopters.

"It was thrilling to ride aboard one of the four Huey-II aircraft now owned and operated by the Armed Forces of Bosnia-Herzegovina," said Vaughan. "This further demonstrates their readiness and capability to carry out important missions of generating peace."
