These are well made and perfectly balanced. The bat design has a lot of options for how it sticks. It took a few days to get a target set up in a safe area. These axes strike and stick very well. Developing a technique didn't take long and it quickly became something fun. If you're going to do a DIY target I highly recommend three separate targets. It's safer for the equipment and the thrower.

They have a nice feel and the handle coating affords a good grip and is a plus. The sheath has individual axe velcros that make transporting the axes safer. The negative for me was that we broke tips on two of the Axes the first night throwing. Not entirely a fault of the Axes as my friend decided it would be fun to throw three at once. The material while hard (good for holding an edge) is brittle so i gave them a poor durability rating.

The axe are good, handle very well. Enjoy throwing them, but when the rubber on the handles hit the target it breaks down & cuts the rubber. I will remove the rubber & replace it with some some heat shrink or cover the rubber with heat shrink. Not sure how that will change the balance of the axe. They went from poly cord on the handle to the rubber, but the material used for the rubber on handle did not hold up after 10 or so throws. I like them, just wish they would fix the covering problem on handles.

Bought these for my boys (12 and 15) and they are used primarily on pine target made of 2 x 6’s from about 20 feet. They have gotten heavy use for the past week and have held up remarkably well. They stick easily and have not dulled significantly after well over 200 throws a piece. Would definitely recommend these, but make sure you coach whoever’s using them regarding proper safety technique as they are not toys and could cause real damage if used recklessly
