I am starting to stock up on long term food storage and I'm glad I found Auguson Farm products! Very cost efficient. After reading comments, I did open the pail (opening pail doesn't affect shelf life of products inside) to inspect the pouches for any punctures, but everything was perfect! I also didn't find the pail too hard to open as I've read complaints about that, and I'm a woman haha. If you're questioning getting this, just get it! Better to be prepared than not, especially if you're on a budget.

Only concern I have is lack of protein. I plan on getting some of their cans of freeze dried meats. You may also want to throw some ziploc baggies and measuring cups into your bug out bag or into the pails if you don't plan on cooking the meals all at once, as the bag suggests, as you won't want to lug around cooked food if SHTF.
