Kirkland solid white tuna is better than Bumble Bee, my longtime former No. 1; and better than Chicken of the Sea, my firmer No. 2 . Notuceably better.

Kirkland solid white is still solid and white. That sounds a little crazy, but other solid white tuna brands same less solid and less white then they used to be. And it is consistent and it's quality, compared with my bumble bee experiences of recent years, where it's a bit of surprise when I open the can. Occasionally, a really good tan that's solid and white, sometimes way off, and usually somewhere in the middle. But with Kirkland's, the high quality is consistent. And who doesn't like that?

I also like that this tuner comes in 7 oz cans. That was industry standard for many years, but the size of the tuna can has been getting smaller and smaller in in terms of weight.

Bumblebee is now a 5-ounce can, and and I think that is true for most brands. It's that distasteful business practice of shrinking the pound of coffee, pint of Haagen-Dazs or can of tuna to a lesserweightc in packaging that looks essentially the same, a way raise the price in a way not everyone will notice.

Pricing practices aside, I also like the 7 oz cans because they just last longer. Opening the tuna can, draining the water, grading the tuna, and mixing in mayonnaise -- well, that's a lot of work so I am happy with that extra sandwich I seem to get out of the 7 oz can.

But I digress and rant. The main point here is simple: this is fantastic solid white tuna, the best there is, and you can get it here at a fantastic price.

If you live alone like I do, you probably wouldn't lbuy eight cans at the supermarket but the exams really don't take up that much room, and you'll be well stocks with a favorite.

If you're a solid white tuna fan, and you haven't tried Kirkland's tuna, please do so at once.

I had a dented can delivery issue, however, Amazon resolve this quickly and graciously for me ( thank you, Amazon).

I have bought this 8 previous times; however, this time upon opening I detected a sulfurous odor that seemed to infect the taste. My body did not process it very well (gas and loose BM). Since food cannot be returned and it is beyond the 30 days return window anyway, the smart thing to do is trash it. I was buying it in advance to keep on hand. I guess I will go back to what I used to buy at the store. (This was the second of 8 cans that I ate, so threw away the remaining six). * I ended up retrieving the cans and did eat them. I also bought some other tuna that is supposed to be good and actually, it was more disappointing. Compared to the quality of that Tuna, Kirkland Tuna is superior, which is why I have been buying it all this time. I might have had a bad reaction but it may have been me and not necessarily the Tuna. Certainly canned food is not as good as fresh, so that is to be considered. The bottom line is that this is the best Tuna I have ever found; consistent in quality. The odor might be normal for canned Tuna.
