This product goes a long way as little as a pea size of it creates foam that covers my face and clears all the oil. Now my skin is VERY oily and people have different skin types so not every acne treatment works for everyone, my skin will be covered as soon as I wake up and this product clears it up and helps with my acne. The smell is great, again this 6 ounce bottle goes a long way. The product description says, "It eliminates oil and dirt and rinses clean without over drying." It's correct but it does dry the skin but not to a point where it's too much. I've started using a combination of acne treatment products and it includes this product and it seems to be working well. Now most of the people buying this product should be dealing with oily skin i'd like to share my combination of treatments. It consists of "Nature's Cure Two Part Acne Treatment System for Males (1 Month Supply)", I've read that producing too much oil can be the result of unbalanced hormones and this product helps with that. This product is also has a female version, and also comes with a tube of blemish treatment. The second product I use is the one i'm reviewing now, It goes deep into pores cleans them right out leaves my face oil-free. My last product which is a moisturizer called CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, It absorbs quickly and keeps my skin moisturized and helps my face with not producing more oil because it's already moisturized. Back to this product, it works for me but to control your acne you'll have to know your skin type, finding the right product combination.

This has the same cleaning power as regular Neutrogena but with a much better smell. I noticed with the orange version that my skin had a medical smell to it. This grapefruit scent is more than acceptable and leaves my skin feeling clean and tight. It does a good job of removing make-up. The 2% salicylic acid is the same strength and cleans as well as Murad, but for far less cost. The other Murad substitute that NEutrogena has is the Rapid Clear 3-in-1 Acne Treatment, which is equivalent to Murad's 2% salicylic acid gel (but again at a much lower cost.) These two products used at night, combined with an SPF 30 moisturizer in the day, make my skin very clear. You have to just continue it even as the gel "boils" the acne to the surface at first. Once the skin is clear, if you continue to use these, then your skin will stay clear. Much less expensive than MURAD!

I love this acne wash! It really helped reduce my acne with me useing it twice a day by its self. It works even better for me now with a cleanser being used before it! My sisters and I swear be it!

Update:
I moved it down to 3 stars because while it did have good results, it also started to really hurt our skin. My skin would feel tingly and outright burn sometimes when using it. This didn't start until almost half a year of using it. Still good if on a budget, but it is no longer my go to product.
