Lights, Cameras, Drama 🎭 Performer, director, writer and star of RTÉ's Blackshore Lisa Dwan opened the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival yesterday to a warm reception in the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone. The ceremony saw The Wake, performed by Bridge Drama, take to the stage as this year's inaugural play. Dwan was also joined by speakers Joseph Hoban, Head of Communications, Partnerships and Events at RTÉ, and Regina Bushell, Director of the RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival. Nine amateur drama groups from across Ireland will perform at the festival over the next seven days, battling it out to be crowned the winner at the closing ceremony on Saturday 11 May.
