Madelyn Cline accidentally reveals Outer Banks season 3 release date (Watch the video!)

2022 has been an awesome year for Netflix releases. From Bridgerton season 2 to Stranger Things season 4 and everything in between, fans have seen the return of some of their favorite shows and there’s still a handful on the way. Next year will also be a huge one for the streamer, as we’ll see You season 4, The Witcher season 3, Outer Banks season 3, and more on our screens.

Though Outer Banks season 3 is confirmed for 2023, we don’t have the exact release date… Or do we? A recent interview with star Madelyn Cline is going viral on TikTok because she seemingly slips when we can expect the next season of the Netflix hit.

Madelyn Cline says Outer Banks season 3 comes out in February

TikTok user @relayts shared his reaction to the clip, which you can see below. In the video, Cline is being interviewed and says that season 3 is coming soon before revealing the release date. She says it’s February 23, before looking to the person next to her for confirmation. She then second-guesses herself, asking, “February 22?” before the person presumably tells her the date has not been officially announced. Watch:

Cline looks absolutely shocked to realize what she spilled before the clip comes to an end.

The Outer Banks season 3 release date has not been confirmed by Netflix for February, but if the show’s star is saying so, we’re inclined to believe it. February 22 is a Wednesday, while February 23 is a Thursday. It’ll be interesting to see if Netflix chooses not to drop the next installment on a Friday, which in the past had been their go-to day to release titles. As of late, they’ve been releasing shows and movies all throughout the week.

What’s also interesting is the possibility Outer Banks could return in the winter. While we’d be happy to get the new season as soon as possible, it’s such a summer show!

Fingers crossed we get the release date confirmed by Netflix soon, but until then we’ll be taking Madelyn Cline’s word for it! Here’s to hoping Outer Banks season 3 really only is a few months away.
