Claudia Oshry says her hair ‘started shedding’ from taking Ozempic

Claudia Oshry detailed the hair loss she experienced while taking Ozempic to slim down.

The Girl With No Job creator, who stopped using the diabetes drug nearly six months ago, shared the side effect that ruined her luscious locks during an Instagram Q&A with fans Wednesday.

“Did your hair thin from Ozempic?” a curious follower inquired.

Oshry, 29, replied by posting a photo of her shiny strands, explaining in the caption, “It didn’t thin but it started SHEDDING – which is literally worse.”

The “Toast” podcast co-host shared that her hair took six to nine months to “get back to normal.”

She then expanded on her hair regrowth method, saying that she did daily Vegamour hair serum treatments.

Oshry also got a prescription for Minoxidil, which is most commonly used to treat male pattern baldness, and took the women’s hair growth supplement Nutrafol in addition to prenatal vitamins.

Lastly, the stand-up comedian continued to get “quarterly haircuts” to maintain a healthy ‘do.

Oshry began taking Ozempic in September 2022 and lost more than 70 pounds.

She first told her followers in an August 2023 episode of “The Toast” that she had turned to the jab.

“The reason I’m nervous about sharing [how much I’ve lost] is because I’m ashamed of myself that I got to a place where I had 70 pounds to lose,” she said at the time.

Once Oshry got to a place where she felt she was living a healthier lifestyle, she stopped taking the medication and reflected on her journey during a visit to Page Six’s new video studio last month.

“I feel good,” she told us.

“I think when I was on Ozempic, my biggest fear was being off of it.”

Oshry, who has been busy training for a 5K race, said that she now lives a very balanced life.

“I had a … very bad case of whatever it was, of laziness, of obesity, of poor choices, of really [a] lack of willpower. So I feel … proud of myself,” she said.

Oshry previously shared that she was struggling to feel full after getting off Ozempic.

These days, she is nourishing herself with a high-protein diet and the Weight Watchers system.
