NEW YORK — From unexpected highlights to hilarious bloopers to all-around fun, the 2022 Ruffles All-Star Celebrity Game didn’t disappoint. Peloton workout influencer Alex Toussaint took home the game’s MVP honors after scoring 18 points and leading Team Walton to a convincing 65-51 victory over Team ‘Nique.

Toussaint’s athleticism and handles were just some of many highlights on the night. Others included the return of Cleveland legend and fan favorite Anderson Varejao, the impressive physical play of Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, electric passing from Harlem Globetrotters player Crissa Jackson, and a dunk from Olympic gold medalist high jumper Gianmarco Tamberi.

NBA 75th Anniversary Team members and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Dominique Wilkins and Bill Walton served as head coaches for the game.

The game tipped off with the Ruffles Ridge 4-point Shooting Competition, with Ruffles and the NBA donating $4,000 to support the Thurgood Marshall College Fund for every shot made from behind the line. Varejao delighted the Cleveland fans by winning the contest.

“I’m happy to be part of something so special,” Varejao said. “I’m glad I’m contributing here.”
