A little bit of magic is coming to Broadway.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two will open at Broadway's Lyric Theater on April 22, 2018, the production company announced Thursday. To prepare for the incoming wizards and witches, the Lyric theater is undergoing a redesign.

The play, based on a story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne  and John Tiffany, and scripted by Thorne, takes place 19 years after the final Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and opened in London's West End last year. It follows the now-adult Harry's young son Albus Severus and his friend, Scorpio Malfoy, the son of Harry's Hogwarts nemesis Draco.

Cursed Child won a record-breaking nine prizes at Britain's Olivier Awards, the equivalent of the Tonys in the U.K., including best new play and best actor for Jamie Parker, who plays Harry, supporting actress for  Noma Dumezweni, who stars as the adult Hermione and supporting actor for Anthony Boyle for his work as Scorpio. The script of the play was published as a book last summer and became the No. 1 book of 2016, according to USA TODAY's Best-Selling Books list.

Tickets for the Broadway production of Cursed Child will go on sale this fall, exclusively on the play's official website. Details on how and when tickets can be purchased will be announced "soon," according to a news release.
