    New update will let you hide your WhatsApp 'Last Seen' from selected contacts

    Facebook-owned, recently renamed as Meta, is working on some key features for WhatsApp to maintain a strong hold in the market as the competition in the tech world increases. According to recent reports, the tech giant is currently working on a feature that will let users hide their 'Last Seen' from specific people.
    The instant messaging platform already has a bet version of WhatsApp for Android users that has an option to hide 'Last Seen' status from a select group of people.

    The feature has been in active development for a few months at this point, and now it's finally live for a subset of those part of the beta programme, according to the report. The company will be releasing the feature in stages with initial access give to those using the beta version of WhatsApp, the feature then eventually will be rolled out for everyone in the world using the app.

    What will it do?
    The new feature will allow users on WhatsApp to set their 'Last Seen' status set visible on to certain people in their contacts. It will allow users to set their own audience with whom they want to share their 'Last Seen' information, which shows an user's last active time and date.

    The 'Last Seen' feature on WhatsApp will have four options to choose from such as Everyone, My Contacts, My Contacts except and Nobody. This feature is similar to the options given when choosing your WhatsApp audience for Status.

    WhatsApp has been working on tons of updates and features to make the experience on the instant messaging platform a lot easy and smooth for users. Earlier, there were reports suggesting that the tech giant is working on a new Communities feature that will give admins more power over groups. According to WABetaInfo, the Communities feature appears to give group admins more power over groups.

    The new feature is speculated to grant admins the ability to invite new users via a Community Invite Link and then start messaging other members.
